  • Comment: This is a good product and definitely extended the battery life of my phone. However, PLEASE don't go in expecting 30 or so hours from this battery, because that just won't happen. After testing this battery, I've come to the conclusion that many of these reviews are overly optimistic and exaggerated.

    My phone drains the battery from 100 to 70% in 1-2 hours. For some reason, the battery just doesn't hold a good charge above 65-70%. After reaching 65%, battery drain starts to get realistic.

    1% of my battery (from 65% below) will last me a good 10 minutes, when my phone is on standby, no wifi on. From this observation, my phone should last 12-13 hours on a full charge. I've let my phone discharge on its own from 100% just to confirm this, and 12-13 hours seems just about right.

    The stock battery lasted me 4-5 hours, so 12-13 hours is definitely a HUGE improvement (triple), and is worth 60 bucks in my opinion. However, I bought this battery expecting the 20-30 hours other reviewers have been stating, and that just hasn't been happening.

    Buy this product if you want your phone to last a day (12 hours) on a single charge, but don't expect it to last two or three.

  • Comment: Before I got this battery, my Evo 4G had to be charged a few times a day. This battery really lets you use the phone to it's full potential. The replacement back cover is also high quality. Kickstand, camera, flash, speakers all work fine.

    Only downside is that I had to get a new case. BB had an Eddie Bauer leather case that works well.

  • Comment: So, I received my Seidio Battery on Thursday. I put it on charge overnight for about 8 hours. Took off the charge at 6:45 AM on Friday and it's Saturday 10:30 AM right now and I have 40% left.

    Here's my usage - Unplugged since 1 Day 3H and 30 minutes

    4G on from 6:45 AM on Friday till 5 PM - (with couple apps download, internet browsing) - I don't really have 4G in NOVA but I still get 1-3 bars

    Few phone calls

    Check and replied mails frequently

    Listened to music for few mins

    Net browsing for majority of time

    Took few shots with camera (incl night shots)

    Played unblockme for few mins

    YouTube video download using (youtube ripper)

    Played with the phone as much as I can since Friday evening ;)

    Facebooking through this

    All this with Live wall paper, all the syncs being on with an hr interval and without an app killer

    And it's still 40% - I am sure I will get through today as well

    I used to get about 14 hours with the same usage on my stock battery* but this is SUPER :)

    Plus, this gives me peace of mind that my camera lens/glass is protected all the time (not touching the surface) :)

    So, anyone planning to get this battery, go for it.. Enjoy

  • Summary: a must have if you use your EVO alot during the day.
  • Comment: Stock battery would run low every afternoon or earlier. I plug this in every other day because it's almost to yellow! Make the phone bigger and a bit heavier, but kinda easier to hold onto. The backplate also helps protect the camera lens from scratches and dirt.
